Submissions

Flesh & Stone welcomes submissions from scientists, physicians, researchers, patients, and of course journalists and talented bloggers.

If you would like to become a contributor, please read the information below which will tell you everything you need to know about how to get your work published on Flesh & Stone.

Please bear in mind that in order to develop and maintain a frank and open atmosphere on the site, you are required to write under your own name and provide a few relevant biographical details.

Things to keep in mind:

Contributions are reviewed for factual errors and edited for writing errors before publication. Articles with any factual errors or too many grammatical errors will be rejected. All submissions are reviewed for possible plagiarism using software tools.

In order for content to be published on Flesh & Stone it must be original and relevant to our focus areas of health, science and the environment.

We are particularly interested in news –- new research, new policy developments, and first hand reports -- from the field.  We also publish well-crafted commentaries, poetry, photography, cartoons and other artwork relating to our topic areas.

We do not publish articles that are obvious product or service promotions.

All facts and quotes must be attributed to a source. Please provide a link when available.

Tell your story in the briefest way possible. There are no hard and fast rules for length but aim to not exceed 1,200 words. Most of our articles are from 300-600 words in length.

Submissions can be emailed to editor@fleshandstone dot net. Please add “Submission” in the subject line. If you have any questions prior to submitting an article, please use the Contact Form or write the editor using the email address above.

As a self-funded venture, Flesh & Stone is unable to pay for submissions.

We look forward to hearing from you!
