This group is demanding that chance at self determination for Iraq. Instead they are held hostage by the wealth under their feet that other countries want.

The reasons for the U.S.-led invasion and occupation of that region have been exposed as bald-faced lies. No one chooses to live under imperial rule, and yet we see it all around the world today, just as always.

Without money, power or influence the most sensible things the vast majority of us can do is join the monks in meditating on peace and figure out how to avoid paying taxes that go toward imperialistic takeovers. At least those actions would not add to the problem.

The People of IRAQ have the right to have their own democracy and not one that is the puppet of the US. It is these puppet governments that are under attack. Saddam was one and the Iraqi's have had enough of it. The USA imperialist stratgy of having compliant Governments in this part of the world is coming to an end as they have bitten off far more than they can chew. Right will always prevail over might. And Might comes from doing the right thing.
